What is the TMN Blog and it’s purpose?
My Trackmania Nations Blog is a fan site dedicated to the computer game Trackmania Nations ESWC and is open to public members, private users and visitors. The blog’s main purpose is to let this ultimate free online racing game be known to the world. This site’s other purpose is also to rally up in-depth experience by featuring blog topics, articles, guides, track reviews, garages, in-game screenshots, videos, and more ”geared” towards car racing fans, TM fans, and people who enjoy high quality free racing games.

Does your TMN Blog have a staff?
You may think this blog/site is run by dozens of people sitting in a cubicle typing or at least several webmasters confined into their computers. However that does not even close. This Trackmania Nations blog is run by ONE person- JC in which I dedicate effort in my leisure time.

How much does it cost to play TMN?
Absolutely nothing! Trackmania Nations is FREE of charge! You don’t even have to earn coppers to build tracks (a currency in other Trackmania versions to buy certain blocks in building customized tracks).

TRACKS & REVIEWS
They are the top tracks submitted by players reviewed by the following criteria of skill, difficulty, fun factor, overall experience, finesse and maybe popularity. Regardless of other people’s opinion I will decide the final outcome as my standard of racing is quite different from the gereral population of car racers. The top tracks will be reviewed in great depth and be blogged on the front page categorized as track reviews.

How are the difficulties of the track rated on your site?
They are rated on the ten point scale. (1) for being the easiest and (10) for having utmost insane difficulty. The factors of difficulty are based on precision, agility, finesse and strategy. An example of intermediate difficulty (4-6) would be how sharp can you make drifting turns at very high speed well over 600 km/h, into a small opening, driving on a wall twisting into a loop without crashing, therefore gaining enough speed to make the jump… you get the idea.

How are the tracks of the uploaded author rated on your site?
This follows a more complex procedure than rating the difficulty. So far it follows a seven step process. Somtimes I use the two step shortcut, but only in a hurry.
(regular)
- I make very short reviews of a selected bunch of tracks
- I wait some time such as a few days to a week, and organize a list.
- I review the best ones with many different factors such as difficulty, fun factor, overall experience, finesse, flow and others.
- I wait another few days, and review it again but this time with the opinions of other players and fan.
- I let a group or a few of designated players and fan to review it.
- I compromise the thoughts and review it the third time.
- I post the tracks on my site.

- I make short reviews of all the tracks.
- I choose the best and post them on my site.

Where can I download the tracks?
You can download my tracks and various other cool tracks by authors in my TRACKS section of my site. There are also countless tracks on the Main Trackmania Nations Tracks Exchange site and search for 70,000+ tracks.

Why are some track categories locked?
They either require level 6+ admin core access or the posts are only viewable within myself only.

Why are the tracks INSANELY HARD even at intermediate or lower levels?
Try harder, your driving skills are not up to standard. Practice a bit and you will eventually get it.

Why are the tracks TOO EASY even at intermediate or higher levels?
Good job, your driving skills have reached the standard of expert or even above to the “highest level of car racing”. However I highly doubt you can complete a real expert track or insane track, unless I have valid video proof on YouTube, where I will review it. If you can prove it to me, not only will I award it and post it in the video’s ELITE section, but I will also add you on the candidates list for top skilled players on this site.

Not to be humble, boastful, modest, cocky or “what-nots”, I believe I have only an intermediate racing level honing on expert skill. Unfortunately, the perfection for honing the highest level of car racing is still quite a far reach away from me.
However I have great intuition and knowledge for levels of driving. I know instantly the difference between crappy driving and skillful driving; a good track and a bad track.

CARS & THE GARAGE
It is a feature to change the look of your car. You can drive Ferraries, to Mercedes, to McLaren F1s, to even StarWars vehicles and other wacky looks. In the FREE TMN package, the cars have different skins of countries.

How and where can I download the cars?
Visit my GARAGE to understand how to download car skins properly with the massive library of 300+ organized cars not included in the Trackmania Nations ESWC package. You can google and search for how and also visit the TM-Carpark. However most of the cars in TM-Carpark are not TMN compatible, and sometimes the instructions on various non-TMN-focused sites are unclear. My best bet is to visit my GARAGE where everything is organized, unified and structured onto one page.

Do the new skins enhance the car performance?
In terms of acceleration, top speed and handling, no.

I have an organized growing library of 300+ downloadable cars, not available within the original TMN game file. In this section you will find steps to download and save them in their correct locations as well as saving tips to avoid hassle. You may search the TM-Carpark, or the internet for these cars, but I haved compiled everything into one location, thus saving your time.

WHY CAN’T I ACCESS YOUR GARAGE?
To familiarize visitors or fans to this blog of the FREE TM racing game and relating TM sites, I have designed an “easy quiz” to prove one’s knowledge revolving around this site. The quiz is located in the contribute section. Once you have completed and passed the quiz you will see a report of your score. After you click next, you will be reffered to a page to type your name and e-mail address. Your PASSWORD WILL BE SENT almost immediately, so check your e-mail box. What is the ”security” feature on your site?
To ensure complete fun for Trackmania Nations, safety is required. In this section of the blog, it divides threefold.
- It describes all the copyright issues, the nature of the game, and falsely rumoured details for having spyware, etc.
- It explains a security system of “levels” for different access priority and privileges to the blog.
- I monitor suspicious activity and limit site privileges to specific groups of people.
Bonus- Just for fun, you will find direct links to download your own Mercedes police car and police SUV skin for visiting this page. It is also included in the Garage section, but you don’t need a password to view these items.

What do the security levels on your site mean?
Any visitor, fan or member in the public start at level 0- known as the public level, which have the least features. A level 0 public visitor of course has full access to this site and even to the garage after you have completed the quiz. However being a public user limits you from accessing some sections of the security page, my admin features, my private TMN forum, other password protected posts, special discussion, special meetings, tools, full free software, special tools and bonus features. How do I get security levels?
Unfortunately the public cannot get security levels (not even level 1) at the moment as the system is being perfected. Only trustworthy, and honest invited guests can gain such privileges.

Is downloading Trackmania Nations safe?
Yes, of course! It is completely malware and spyware FREE. There may have been false reports and rumours of infecting material and a controversial program called StarForce used to prevent reverse-engineering of games, but nobody have actually given a valid proof, or dared to make truthful accusations, as the real truth and reality has nothing wrong. The infecting software, programs, malware, spyware, spam- etc most probably have been downloaded carelessly on untrustworthy sites, p2p networks, scam sites, or dangerous sites. Star-force have even presented a $10,000 challenge to anyone who can prove that StarForce can affect their computer and NOBODY have proved it. Therefore, Trackmania Nations is completely SAFE. However those still skeptical, or those who want to ensure more security specifically spyware, click the bottom banner ad in the download section, or click here.

Stop. Terminate and cease gameplay immediately. Take further action if it gets serious. Even though I encourage participation towards Trackmania Nations, I do not encourage over-participation and addiction.

Trackmania Nations ESWC is a fast-paced racing game which require insane driving skills involving precision, agility, and strategy. The game is specially designed for massive competitions online. It includes offline multiplayer modes and more than one hundred pre-made training tracks by Nadeo. As a high octane racing game, this game dominates other racing games with its features. Players can change the look of their car, construct original tracks, change camera angles, or download tracks on the exchange site. Best of all, this game is completely FREE of charge, FREE of malware and is SAFE.

What other versions of TM are out there?
If you are unsatisfied with this free version or you want more versions of TM and still enjoy the free version along with the massive communities around the world, there are other version of TM you can buy. These titles include: Trackmania Original, Trackmania Sunrise and Trackmania United. However Trackmania United bundles all the previous versions together including Trackmania Nations forming one version with many more features for a low price of $49.99 US.

Do you need to earn coppers for building tracks?
The advantage of Trackmania Nations over the others is perhaps the absence of the currency “coppers” in customized trackmaking. You have many blocks readily available in TMN and you don’t need to earn coppers. However tracks still use coppers to determine their sizes. Large tracks such as over 10,000 coppers may reduce gameplay experiences by creating choppy animation for less powerful computers.

I can’t see the graphics during gameplay, is something wrong?
Yes, your graphics card may not be powerful enough. Therefore open up the game title screen, click configure, advanced and then preset quality. Set it to low quality or lowest quality if you still cannot see it.
